Try better light
Use even light without glare. Hold the camera steady and keep the whole receipt in focus. A second photo may give a clearer view.
Correct only what you know
Enter a value by hand if you can confirm it from the image or another record. If you cannot confirm a field, leave it for review instead of guessing.
Keep a copy early
Thermal paper can become difficult to read. Capture important receipts while the text is still clear. Ask your accountant what evidence you need to keep.
